Therapy
I am an experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and I have a Master of Social Work majoring in Forensic Behaviour.
I have provided therapy to children, young people and adults since 2007. I provide face-to-face, telehealth (phone or zoom) and outreach sessions. To read more about me, click here.
My therapeutic approach is to provide evidence-based interventions that are tailored to individuals and their circumstances. My practice uses a multimodal approach, combining formal theories with evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behaviour therapy, behaviour change techniques, systems theory, attachment theory, trauma theory and narrative therapy. I also rely on strategies such as client-focused, solution-focused and strength-based approaches.
I provide responses that are developmentally appropriate, including working with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities.
Mental Health
I am experienced in supporting people living with mental health difficulties. This includes those who experience Anxiety and Depression and those that are diagnosed with Psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I also help people manage and reduce the risk of self-harm and assist those experiencing suicide ideation.
Problem Behaviour
My particular expertise is in the assessment and treatment of sexual behaviour issues. This includes problematic risk-taking sexual behaviour, children and young people with harmful sexual behaviours, adults who experience paraphilias and those who have committed a sexual offence. I also provide evidence-based responses to those who have perpetrated violence.
